Here’s how to read the Business Daily on your Android device

You’ve most likely heard of Safaricom and Nation Media’s collaboration that brings you the Daily Nation, Saturday Nation and Sunday Nation all week long for free with the only catch being that you have to use Safaricom’s 3G data to download the newspaper. If you have then the functionality of this new app is not anything new so read on. If you haven’t then you should have a look at the app and see how you can have your complete day’s news with you on the go.

The new Business Daily E-Paper app is Jaguar branded and features a video ad of the newly launched Jaguar F-Type Coupe so obviously there’s an arrangement between NMG and Jaguar Land Rover (feel free to clarify this if I am wrong). Unlike the Daily Nation E-paper, the Business Daily E-paper is free (at least for now) so go ahead and grab the app on the Google Play Store if you’re an Android device user.

The app has two functions just like the DN e-paper app namely: as a downloader and as a reader so you can download the day’s paper and read straight away from the app or if you’re like yours truly, fire up your file manager, open the downloads folder and read the paper from your favourite eBook reader be it the Kindle Reader, Kobo, Aldiko, Adobe Reader, Mantano or others.

Of course you’ll have to register with your email address before being able to download and read the Business Daily.

Update

Your device needs to be running at least Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for you to be able to use this. If you have one of those old Android tablets running Honeycomb (Android 3.x) then you can still access your copy of the Business Daily.
